1994年，作者兼主唱达利尔·豪，邀请福音曲演唱组合Sounds of blackness（“黑暗之声”）协助录制《荣耀之地》。达利尔·豪（Daryl Hall，原名Daryl Franklin Hohl，1946年10月11日生于费城）与约翰·奥兹（John Oates）在坦普尔大学相识，组建“豪与奥兹双人组”（Hall & Oates），经汤米·莫托拉运作后签约亚特兰大唱片公司，1972年推出首张专辑《Whole Oates》。1984年该组合成为当时排名最高的民俗音乐二人组，同年解散，各自发展，1988年为专辑《Ooh Yeah!》重组。
